About

Welcome to Earth, Wind & Pliers! Please sit down and enjoy my blog; I guarantee your amusement. Laugh with me or at me, share in my wonderment at the intricacy and beauty of our world and creation, admire my mediocre photography, and follow my projects while I spend my last month as a high schooler in the northern Adirondack Mountains, fixing my family’s 120-year-old camp, adventuring, fending off wild bears, and gushing agonizingly long sentences. (Or at least those first few.)

Oh yeah, and the usual obligatory personal details:

  • My name is Wyatt
  • I’m eighteen years old
  • I live in upstate New York
  • I have two brothers and a Chesapeake Bay Retriever
  • I’m homeschooled
  • I’m headed to Stanford this fall to study engineering (and learn other things good, too)

And a few of my passions:

I love building and fixing things, climbing things, paddling things, sailing things, writing things, whacking on things (especially while other people strum or blow on things), folding things, tying things, things that fly, things that make noise (especially high fidelity loudspeakers and amplifiers), science things (especially theoretical physics and cognitive science), mountains, trees, lakes, rock, rock, and people.

Bon Appetite!

-Wyatt

PS – I’ll be posting sporadically (I live almost half an hour from internet access) but I will try my best to update every couple days. =)
