This is the latch on the inside of the back screen door. See how it likes to tip back in its screw eye? Yeah. Well, guess what happens when you let the door slap shut.

(I eventually got it popped out of the screw eye it latched itself in by sliding the waterproof baggy up and down between the door and jamb until it caught the latch and lifted it out. My mom originated this trick and passed it on to me.)
