Does it scare any of you to look out a window into pitch black during an outage, then, for a split second, to see everything? I would be totally blind, then the roof and view across the channel would suddenly flash with an unsettlingly pale light, and disappear into total darkness again before I had a chance to process it. Every time it flashed I expected the face of some dark, dripping skeleton to appear for a split second in the rain outside the window. I’m kinda glad that didn’t happen.
