Gluing the speaker enclosures! I neglected to read up on how to do this properly, and ended up trying to do it almost all in one step. The wood glue, it turns out, drips a *lot.* Where the sides and baffles attach to the bottom board the glue adhered well, but it dripped right out of all the vertical joints. I spent about an hour that night scraping it back into place with a little piece of plastic, hoping it would set up and stay, then gave up and decided to re-do those joints later. I’ll turn it on the side and fill in those glue joints with extra glue, then flip it and do the same for the other ailing joints. When I put the other cabinet together I’ll approach the process a little more wisely.. 😉
