My briefcase speakers!
I built these a few years ago. It was before I knew how to design crossovers or bass reflex enclosures (boxes that have a tuned port tube that resonates at a frequency low enough to reinforce the low-end output of the speakers), so it’s just a set of car speakers that came with their own crossovers, paired with a 30 watt digital amplifier chip I bought online. There’s a little plate on the pack with the power and audio inputs, the indicator LED, and the volume control. I have it hanging from a nail because I wanted to listen to music while I showered and the only outlet is on the light fixture on the ceiling, so the power cable wouldn’t reach to it from the floor. (The lights and primitive electrical system were installed long after the house was built in the 1800s, and outlets are scarce).
